I made a few attempts to use the dvd to install, but all of the dvds i burned happend to be corrupted in one way or another, and i didn't really want to wait for my slow burner at 1x. Instead, i mounted the iso image on my hdd to a virtual drive and installed Windows 7 to a partitioned space, and behold, it worked! The only thing i had to fix was a boot issue. At first, the boot screen didnt give me a choice of os, xp or win7. I now have it all working.
