Windows 7 RC "Windows.old" Folder

I just installed the Windows 7 RC (64bit) and I noticed after it had finished I had a two folders in C drive, one called "Windows" with all the Win 7 stuff, and another called "Windows.old" which is basically the "Windows" folder from Vista, its got: PerfLogs, Program Files, ProgramData, Users and Windows folders in there. Its just taking up space I need to use, so is it ok to delete it all? Or are there some files I need to keep? I assume its just basically a backup so Windows 7 shouldn't be using it...anyway, I don't know a real lot about OS's so your help would be appreciated :)

I would suggest backing-up those files just in case. I've installed the same Windows 7 and got the same folder as you. I didn't know what its for so I backed it up just in case it would be needed.

That "Windows.Old" folder IS the backup. Windows 7 backs your data up for you so you don't lose it. Very nice eh?

Everything that was in "My Documents" and such is in that folder. Basically, everything that you would have backed up, is in there.
