they make it easier every time but they scrap this feature? I know how to do it in xp. I just need to repair installation with the cd. The startup repair function doesn't work for me and i can't boot into windows. So i just need the option to do a complete repair install.

Any hints as to where the button is on w7?

Just boot from the DVD and there you have an option to repair your OS completely. If that did not help and you still cant boot into OS,then either you have bad viruses on your computer or your BOOT SECTOR is corrupt or deleted.

the whole problem was that i couldn't find the option to repair my os... I just did a clean reinstall of the entire just hours before that and i haven't accessed the internet yet. So viruses are not an option. I probably screwed up my registry.
