I just installed Windows 7 on my PC, but I can't get the sound to work. I installed all the drivers, and they are detected in Device Manager but there just isn't any sound :(. Mobo is Asus P5QC and processor Intel C2Q Q9550, anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

Did you go to your Device Manager, right click the sound card properties and click update? Did you then click on something that let it check on the internet for any updated drivers?

I did, it tells me that the best driver is already installed, the weird thing is that when I watch live TV with Windows Media Center I have sound, but when I try and watch a youtube video I don't. I check the sound from the Sound Mixer and the Speakers, Windows Applications, and FireFox were on max and the little bar that shows sound is moving but I don't hear anything

ugh... I had that problem in XP before. When I accidentally ended a process through Task Manager and that killed the sound for Youtube and all that. Everything but Windows Media Player.

Try uninstalling the sound drivers and reinstalling them.
