can you downgrade windows 7 ultimate to vista ultimate? and keep all your programs and files.
like when you upgrade from vista to windows 7 you keep all your settings/files/programs, can you downgrade and keep everything? i have the vista disc as well as the windows 7 disc.

i can list many reasons why you don't want to go back to vista. the main one being that microsoft admitted there is a fault in the vista memory manager. this = bloating.

yeah i know but im just asking my mom got windows 7 as well but she doesnt like it and shes very picky... so she wants it back to vista lol...

In the old days its was possible to make a downgrade from (for ex.) XP to Win98SE if you had made an upgrade directly from WIN98SE to XP without formatting (just needed to go to ADD/Remove Programs and it was there to unistall). But with Win7,
At least that i know of,microsoft didnt plan to make it possible to downgrade directly from win7 to vista if earlier was upgraded from VISTA to Win7 without formatting.
Sorry Buddy..:(
Hope that helps with your question.
