I keep getting errors saying I dont have permission to access something or to create a directory...I am the only user of this computer, the OS is registered in my name and I can for the life of me figure out why I would be getting these errors. Any Ideas?

One of the error messages I'm getting is this

You need permission to perform this action

You require permission from Administrators to make changes to this folder

Turbine
Date Created: blah blah blah

I researched more on this folder, and apparently the Administrator was not the creator of the folder. CREATOR OWNER was...and I have no idea what that means. As such, I cant change the permissions on the folder to allow Special Permissions because Administrator is not the Creator. Any ideas?

Where are you trying to create the new folder?
In your computer..by network...where?
Please give the exact place (ex: C:\Users\user\Desktop)

Right click on the application you are trying to install and choose 'run as admin..' and then see if it works.

Ive seen many times and with xp pro. had an issue with windows 7 pro the other day. I have suggested before and will say again. always have more than one profile in case it does get corrupted. I have one called admin and admin1 with admin rights and all profiles password protected. the other day it was something similar. booted with safe mode and fixed my issues. try Tlarkins comment and post back. it makes no since if im already admin and can't do it. Im curious as to why it happens if anybody knows.
