windows 7 Update problems

So its been a long time since i posted on here but here it goes. I tried searching the forum but could not find much(might have been the key words i used to search). I found a lot on google but could not get any of the tips to work.

The Problem is when i try to do a system update it will tell me to restart to install updates. then after it reboots and installs it will ask to me reboot to finish the install. Its and endless cycle. When i go into the last installed up dates it shows the same 5 or 6 updates installed every date and time i tried to run an update.

any advice ?

Don't attach the image. Just upload to tinypic or similar and link it.

Also take a screenshot of the update history sorted by install date.

This is funny.... I'm actually trying to update a clients laptop and it fails to install IE 11 via updates or manually. So thats a good thing that it might not be the laptop I have.

took me to a Microsoft page with a decent size list of prerequisites needed. six different KB numbers should i try downloading each one and installing ?

Yeah, out of the few prerequisite updates that should have been installed, I found a couple that weren't and getting the same message. Update not compatible with system. I've been trying to do different procedures all day. Might just backup data and reinstall windows.

Well I gave up last night and told the client I needed to reinstall windows.

I would back up your data and reinstall as well. Unfortunately there is no definite fix for this specific issue.
