Windows 7 Updates disappear

Hello,

To make things as short as possible my Windows 7 Ultimate Update center showed for a few weeks the language packs (34 if I'm not mistaken). One day, recently I just went to check Windows Update and the language packs were gone, never to come back. Is that normal ? how could I get them back ?

PS: they are not set as "hidden updates" I already checked that.

Nope it's not been installed. It would have been weird that all language packs would have been installed on their own when my settings are to tell me about updates but let me choose. They just aren't there anymore and I'm at a loss

Well to be honest, not really. I speak Spanish, French and I'm studying Japanese so I was thinking of installing those maybe sometime. Then again it would only clutter up my system.

So the real issue for me is to understand why it's not there anymore. To a greater extent, I worry that other updates might just not appear if something's wrong with the updating system.
