Windows 7 Upgrade Bit Version

I have Windows Vista 64-bit installed currently on this machine. I am planning to get the Windows 7 family pack upgrade so i can update all the PC's in my house, but i have a question about it first.

It says nowhere in the description whether the upgrade is 32-bit or 64-bit. My other machines, mainly my mother and fathers laptops, don't have the hardware to run or need 64-bit, but i would never dream of putting 32-bit back on this one. Is the upgrade bit version based on the current bit version of the OS, or is there an option to choose what version, or is it bound to 32 bit?

Thanks.
