Windows 7 upgrade?

I am running a copy of Windows Vista and want to upgrade, I know I can do that. I bought the family pack of 3 installs. The other two computers have XP, will the upgrade work? What I mean is, can I install it with a Windows 7 Upgrade pack or do I need the full pack?

You can upgrade from Vista to 7 but I do not believe you can upgrade from XP to 7. At any rate, just back up your special files and do a fresh install.

You can use the upgrade discs to go from XP, but technically you can't do an "upgrade".

Going from XP to Win 7 you need to boot from the disc, select "Custom (advanced)", choose your current OS partition.

This will back up all your data into a folder called C:\WINDOWS.OLD and will clean install Windows 7.
