I thought it would be good if people with windows 7 posted software and games that work with it and software and games that dont work with it ,
This will help people like me figure out if it is going to be worth switching to it when it is released.

hmm well everything ive tried works so far,And if it didnt for some reason you just run it in Vista compatability or Xp compatability and its fine.

It is worth switching,But try and grab a copy on the pre-order for £49.99...thats what im going to do,i certianly dont think its worth the full whack their asking.

I could not play Battlefield 2142 online with the Windows 7 x64 Release Candidate.

I could install it with no issues and play singleplayer, but I could not play online because there was some process running that Punkbuster didn't like.

Shortly after that I uninstalled it and put Vista x64 on my main pc, and only used Windows 7 on my media pc in my living room.

Then, I could not get my main pc and my media pc to share files, so I uninstalled windows 7 on my media pc and installed Vista x86.

Therefore, I will not be buying Windows 7. :(

bo sounds like you werent setting up your network right, i havent had a problem networking win7 and vista, also have xp on the network and everything works fine.

Been using it since January and so far everything that works with Vista works with 7 and everything that doesn't support Vista, doesn't support 7. The only thing I've seen that doesn't work with 7 yet is Daemon Tools and that is mostly because the developers won't start development on supporting 7 until its release.

Daemon does now support windows 7. Initially it did not but the newest version now does.:)

Bummer. What do you think I was doing wrong?

I made the folders shared and that didn't work.
Prompted for password even though I had that
disabled. I even created a Workgroup for them
and it wouldn't go. Vista to Vista is no problem
except they can only see Public folder. Meh.

The main thing was my game, but PB will probably
update that soon, now that Win 7 is releasing.

I don't know, I was going to say it was some sort of 64-bit incompatibility but if it works with Vista x64 then I'm not sure, I haven't took the BF2142 box out of the closet since I had XP so I don't know.

2142 worked fine in singleplayer.
It was just an online PB kick for "Unknown API Process" or such.
PB...phff

I havent found any real problems yet, however I dont think that it runs as fast as Vista sometimes. I have found that its slower to get going once you have opened a new app though not so much when running games

I saw a chart that compared Windows 7 BETA to XP sp3 (I think) and it rivaled XP's performance in gaming. Keep in mind that it's still in BETA, so I'm definitely gonna get it in Oct.
