Hi, this is my 1° post here, so i am sorry if i am posting this on the worng zone..
Right.. my problem is this one: I have a Fujitsu Siemens (Li 3740) with windows 7 64bits and when i try to conect my external HDD (cnmemory mistral 3.5) he show on the tool bar the icon of "remove device" but on my computer nothing.. i tryed on my brother´s PC (vista 32 bit) and it works..
I think its a driver problem but i used the Windows update, i searched also on google, on the fujitsu website, etcetc.. and nothing.. I saw on a forum somewhere that maybe its something with "coprocesors" or something like that and also the "nvidia" chip ( GeForce 7100, nForce 630i) lol Hmm but the crapy Fujitsu site doesnt have the drives for my mainboards (MS-7504VP-PV ) ...

Can anyone here help me?
Thank you! :)

Look in Disk Management, sometimes the first time you connect a External Drive you need to assign it a Drive Letter.

Hi, thanks for the reply :). I tryed that and it gives me an error, something like " it was not possible to conclude this because the disk manager is not updated. Update it , close the problam and re-open it. or restar the PC". I restarded the pc and nothing, there are no updates on the Windows updater and i have no idea what he is trying to say by "out of date, please update the disk manager" lol :/ hmm

Look for the drive in the Device Manager. If found uninstall it and let Windows find it again with a reboot.

Tho I would wait until Windows has finished rebooting before you try to plug the Drive into the computer.
