Windows 8.1 MBR Problem

Hey everyone,
I'm having a really annoying issue right now and I have tried everything I can to fix it but so far no progress. Long story short, installed Ubuntu on the extra hard disk. This in turn messed up my windows MBR and I have had to boot through GRUB without problem. Today I attempted to fix this issue so I could boot into windows just by choosing the hard disk it was installed on. Somehow the problem just got worse and now when I try to boot into windows all I get is a black screen that says "MBR 23FA:". I have used the windows startup recovery as well as running the /fixmbr and /rebuildmbr commands. So far nothing. This is a really big deal at the moment because I have all my video projects and school work on this computer and I need it to be functional before the weekend is over. I would really appreciate any help. Just throw anything out there.

Thanks.

those commands light not work if you have the Ubuntu disk installed as well as the Windows disk. Remove the Ubuntu HDD and try the repairs agian.

for future reference when installing Ubuntu as a dual boot when you have 2 physical drives, take out all of the other drives that have operating systems ultill Ubuntu has installed. Then boot Ubuntu and run

sudo update-grub

That will grab all of the other OS installs and toss them in the GRUB loader. Then you can set either drive as boot priority in the BIOS and have it work.
