Windows 98 Error - Please Help Me

Hello guys.

Have a laptop with Windows 98 installed on it with Word, Excel and a few others installed.

I can't access my applications directly (have to do so through Windows Explorer) because whenever I try to go there via the Start menu I get an error which says

"Cannot locate immwfb.exe" and I get a dialogue box asking me to locate it.

I'm stumped, as are many of the great minds whom I have asked for help on it.

Cant find anything on that file name, you sure it's correctly spelled?, if so, it may be viral, run a scan from one the two below. if not viral, open my computer and do a search for the file, remember where it is located and then tell the prompt you getting to go there.

If you can't find it, then you may have a rogue reg setting...

Does it do this for every application in your start menu? Are there any applications that you can access through start menu.

Do all apps load ok through Explorer.
