Windows 98 help! Pleasee

I need help. Please forgive me if I write something totally crazy. I know just
enough to get by. I had to use my restore CD for this emachine today.
I need to download the updated browsers from microsoft that I had before
having problems. I need the 128 encr. I went to microsoft and it won't
allow me to download what a had before. They aren't doing that anymore.
I can't by the XP at this time and am trying to get by until I can. Any
help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately with eMachine you have to contact their support staff directly for a link. They have one of worst user support records. Calling by phone or submitting a support request will usually see a responce in a few days. By phone a tech will still need email information to send a response with a link included. Microsoft dropped 98 support totally in 2004. 2008 will probably see the last for XP. Vista or Linux anyone?

Thank you for your help. I really hate this. So there is no where to
download what I had from older files? I feel so ignorant asking these
questions.
