Windows 98 VM: Windows Update still refreshing

hello,

i have an Windows 98 VM in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 and there is an little problem.

the problem is: when i click Start and then click Windows Update, Internet Explorer tries to connect to Windows Update but why it's still refreshing? (weird, on other websites it will not still auto-refreshing such as Google or here on Computer Forum)

It's probably because Windows Update no longer supports Windows 98 IIRC. It's a long shot but can you try using a different browser? Are you using IE5 or IE6?

You can still download all the available updates. There are just no new updates made anymore.

Oh right OK then. If the OP hasn't got IE6 I'd get that if possible and then try.

Try using another browser or see if you can somehow download IE6 for 98 without using Windows Update.
