Windows Cannot Start
This morning when I turn on my laptop (which is Acer, WinXP SP3, no CD-ROM), I've got this message:

"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"

Last night my laptop is being used by my nephew, so I don't know exactly what the hell is he doing with my laptop (i mean, install games, application or doing hardware changes, etc).
I already surf for any information about this problem and I guess the article I found here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307...

is useful and of course helpful.
But, the problem is I don't have the original XP CD.
I also don't have a CD-ROM (cd driver) since I am using laptop as I mentioned before.
By any chances, can I repair it without using original cd nor CD-ROM? Or can I repair it using alternative method such as booting from USB (I already have a bootable USB winXP sp3, but not the original one) .If it possible, can some one give the instruction on how to repair it.

Thanks a lot.
