Hi,
Today i installed a new graphics card and an extra 512mb ram into my sisters computer http://www.packardbell.co.uk/products/at-home/desktops/istart/istart-1359/productsheet-PB49300701-802.html. The system previosuly had onboard graphics which werent good enought obviosuly to play the sims2. The sims2 runs perfectly now but windows is only recognising 768mb of the ram. Any ideas whats wrong? The system has 512*2 installed. This is the graphics card http://www.club3d.nl/index.php/products/graphics/item/272 which as far as I gather doesnt utilise memory sharing with the main RAM. The new ram i used is Crucial DDR2 PC4200 512MB CL4 Unbuffered,1.8V,64Meg x 64, 240pin.
Any help on this would be fantastic!! Thank you very much!

Hi,
I have all of it disabled, none of it is being shared anymore (only 64mb was max video share in the first place). If i use the crucial memory scanner it recognises it as a 256mb chip. What do you make of that? Very strange I though. Posiibly it was labled incorrectly?

Yep BIOS reads total installed as 768mb. Im going to sent it back. Altho its gonna cost nearly as much to send it inusred in comparison to what it cost! I'l let you know what they say about it anyway when I send it back :)
