First: I'm a new user, if this isn't where this question should be please let me know where it should be :3

I sent a friend a video from my PC through Facebook messenger. I use Linux, they use Windows DOS. They have visual but no audio, help?

What operating system is the other person using? I really doubt he is using DOS. What type of video is it? File extension?

Well that's what they said they were using, I can't ask them details at the moment but I can try and give you mine.

Type: WebM video (video/webm)
Size: 7.7 MB
Video Dimensions: 1280x720
Codec: VP8
Audio Codec: Vorbis
Channels Mono
Sample rate: 44100 Hz
Bitrate: 80 kbps

This is what I found, and I'm truly sorry if any of it is not necessary as I'm not sure how to find the info you need from my side. I clicked on the Properties, if you need something more let me know how to get it. Should I compress the video?

We really need to know what operating system and what program the other person is using. Can almost guarantee they are using regular windows and not DOS. Most likely they need to use a converter to convert the file type to something their computer will recognize and play correctly.

Okay, I'll try to find out soon and get back to you. Thank you for your input and patience <3
