Playin around with Win 7 and found a menu called Windows Experience rating.

What's a good rating / really good / blazing / high end - low end - mid range - etc?

Well, in vista 5.9 was the highest you could get, while in windows 7 7.9 is highest you can get(you need an ssd though to get a 7.9 for hdd, 5.9 is best you can get with standard hdd i think, as i have two barracudas in raid and only get 5.9).

I got a 5.9 without any OC - and a mid-range video card with a standard HDD.

So it's not a true PC "performance score" - just a " performance within windows " score?

pretty much, I get a 7.6 on my Q9450 at 3950mhz, which in reality is prolly beaten by a 3.4/3.6Ghz Core i7...
