Windows HD in MacBook

Hello all,
I was just debating with my friend and decided the best OS+Body combo would be a Macbook pro body with Windows 7. Could I take my extra, blank 250GB HDD and drop it into a mac, then just put in a win7 disc and install it as you would on any PC?

On paper it seems fine..but is it really? I'd like to just go on ebay and get a macbook w/o a HDD installed and put mine in.

TIA

No, you will need to install the OS from scratch most likely since it will need the Windows/bootcamp drivers which your current HD doesn't have on it.

You should have zero problems installing Windows though.

so your saying i put in the blank hdd, then the windows7 dvd should work fine...or no?

is there any way to modify the boot sequence on a mac...any way to modify the BIOS settings at all?

thx

Get the Mac, log into Mac OS X, and use the boot camp assistant to load and use Windows. You can set the system to boot off of Windows by default. Apple does not use legacy BIOS technology, all of their motherboards use EFI instead.
