windows installation error 0x80070570

Try this:

Clear the CMOS.
Update the BIOS on the motherboard and load default settings.
Change which SATA port the SSD is connected to.
Update the BIOS on the SSD.
Run Boot and Nuke DVD for the SSD
Only install the very very minimum of hardware and try again.

Im going to wait untill i get a new cd drive before i go further. My brother who i borrowed it off just said to me he was pretty sure it didnt work properly and i vaguely remember him having issues with it.

The error i got last night either said it was the dvd drive or cd, something to do with the files being copied across but not getting to the ssd with the exact same copy . As the cds new id lean more towards the dvd drive. I need a dvd drive anyway so ill just buy one ready for a re-run on saturday.

If then nothing ill try it on the new hdd, then get a new stick of ram and try.

Ive tried ssd in new slot, cleared cmos. dont want to mess around with the bios incase i brick my board (unless i have too). Will try other suggestions if a new cd drive doesnt make any difference.

Im pretty sure the cd drives had it, you can hear grinding and kind of spring sounds when its trying over and over again to load something. It also fails sometimes to load the disk too. I may try it in a different pc and try some tests on it.

Keep us posted, T

Cant do nothing as yet untill i get paid this friday. Ill then try new dvd drive. If nothing new hdd if nothing new ram.

I need the drive and hdd anyway so i can test using that, although im pretty sure its the dvd drive, because my bro told me earlier he was pretty sure it had problems. And because of the message i got last night. Which meant a bad cd or dvd drive as the files were being copied incorrectly, or something along those lines.

Anyway ill let you know saturday when i get all the new stuff.

hey, im starting to think it may be the disk itself now. just thought id put the dodgy dvd drive in a different pc and worked fine, I put in age of empires and powered straight up and installed no problem. also been playing for 20 minutes just too see. I then used vso inspector and for the hell of it put windows 8 in to see what it would do and the dvd drive started making those strange spring like noises again over and over 3 or 4 times, which it did not with the age of empires but eventually it came up as 3.26gb. because of the noises I then thought it may just be the drive so put it in a fully working dvd drive and that wont even recognise the disk itself but loaded and played age of empires fine.

its now just loaded the disk but has come up as a burn option and is showing up as a blank disk/media. with 4.38gb free of 4.38gb.

on close inspection of the disk shining in the light it has like a red/green lines going around the disk every 5mm or so, concentric too.

im wondering whether to send it back for a replacement disk, just to be sure the disk isn't the problem as the optical drive seems to be fine.

Ignore the last message, ran optical drive diagnostic.and it came up with no errors. Disk is most likely ok. Im getting a new hdd and optical drive anyway so ill test both and if no result ill try a new stick.of ram. If nothing ill chek all settings. If nothing ill try new disk.

Let you know on saturday hopefully sorts it.

For my 8, my ram timing's I had to be set manually. On my ram it is suppose to be 9-10-9-24
and if it is set to auto, the timing is 9-9-9-24 and windows does nasty things to the system.
So, maybe try setting timing to what it says on your ram timings manually.
Especially if you update your bios.
