windows installation & formatting (has to do with HDD)

i thought at first i needed to completely install windows on both hard drives to get them working ( i realized only one needs installation)...

now what im wondering is how can i start my 2nd hard drive completly over and just use the 1st HDD for booting up windows...should i just try and delete everything through "kill disk" on the 2nd HDD or something?

and once thats done i only need to partition and then format the 2nd HDD correct?

An easier way is, in Windows, to right click on the drive you wish to erase (not your boot drive) and select Format. Tick Quick Format, and click Start. Within a few seconds, that drive should be ready for use.

Naturally, it's possible to recover data from a hard-drive that's been formatted like this, if someone wants to. If there's anything sensative on the drive, this isn't the best idea (I only mention this because your suggested procedure seems like it's intended to ensure nothing can be recovered from the drive).

thanks man...so i dont have to do anything else to uninstall windows?

will the data already on the 2nd HDD still be there after the format or should i temporarily move the data over to the 1st HDD?

EDIT: problem solved thanks ceewi1
