since my dads been bein a dick he changed the whole comp around for no reason and changed me and another on teh comp from admins to regular members so now almost everything i do a lil window comes up saying "Windows Installer" that says "Preparing to install..." like im installing Word or something except its with EVERYTHING!!! and it comes up at random times for no reason and to get on teh internet i need start up zone alarm and i cant tell it to start up when windows does and i cant play Counter Strike:Source or nething. So what im asking is that is there neway to get this all to stop cuz my dad WONT listen so dont even say that

When i go on the admin name which has no password and go to "User Accounts" that windows installer comes up and i cant do nething

1. what is it preparing to install when this window comes up?
2. Which OS? winxp?
3. What do u mena u cant play counterstrike? because of the popup or the game wont come up at all or what?

1. It doesnt say it just says "Preparing to Install..." forever and it does nuthing

3. nvm about this one its cuz valve took screwed up alll games that load with gameinfo.txt's

My dad has no idea wut hes doing and made this comp more constricted than a library comp!!!! he so ****in gay
 
lol....locked down his computer a bit too much huh? ok, well, its most likely in the services of the computer. go to start>run>type in "msconfig" and click the services tab. look through these and disable the ones u dont need. if u dont know what they are, go to google and look them up. also check the startup tab to disable unnecessary things there too. again, google if u dont know.

another option is to go into the control panel and look at add/remove programs. it could be from a program that was incorrectly uninstalled and part of it is trying to install itself. go through here and do a little spring cleaning too. again......GOOGLE IF U DONT KNOW :)

HAHA "Windows cannot find this file(msconfig)" OF COURSE!!! o ya and i forgot to add that when i go to Start>All Programs the "All Programs" tab/window or w/e doesnt come up my cursor just kinda chills over it and it doesnt nuthing

and he didnt install nething he just restricted things using windows built in controls cuz he gay
 
did he know what he was clicking when he was "restricting" his computer? sounds like hes done some harm to the computer. and are u sure u typed msconfig correctly in the run? it may not let u b/c ur not administration.

ive been "not" teh administrator b4 and its never this bad but everything is just so gay going on teh internet is a friggin hassle and thats about all i can do and yes i typed msconfig in right ive used it b4 and it doesnt matter he doesnt know how to install ne programs or how to use them. just trust me i no he took me off administartor and thats it
 
ok, how about trying to get to msconfig by typing this in the run instead:

%systemroot%\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\msconfig.exe

sry to "yell" but. I DO NOT NEED MSCONFIG!!! they didnt install nething all i need is this dam windows installer thing coming up everytime i do something, all i need to do is go on User Accounts on Control Panel but i cant bcuz of this windows installer
 
and i just tried to go to User Accounts again and now it says it Can't focus bcuz it may be invisible not enabled....WTF WOW

does the focus error give u an error code number?
