windows live email crashing

Hi
I'm using windows 8.1 and I use windows live Mail. Often, after composing an email I decide to either attach a photo or insert a photo.....does not matter which I do I get the same result.....the email.....window live Mail.....hangs up/crashes.....I get the not responding message. I can't recover my email - the only thing that I can do is end the program losing my email which I just composed. This is very frustrating.

I'm using AVG 2015 antivirus.

My computer is a new Toshiba Laptop.

Anyone here have this problem and/or know of a solution?

How do I do that? I don't have a disk - I think it came with my pc all loaded. Do I go to my control panel and delete it from there ? And after that how would I install it? Sorry for the dumb questions here John but I'm very new with this windows OS.

I'm not sure if its a preinstalled app in windows 8 or not. I don't use 8 or hardly work on 8 machines. You can check in control panel to see if its listed. There are other 3rd party email programs you use.
