windows live messenger dont work on vista?

windows live messenger dont work for me on vista... can someone help? i check requirment and it says vista is compatible but why it dont work for me?

It does work on Windows Vista.
Please try downloading the latest version from : http://get.live.com/messenger/overview

i can install and everything but when i launh it says windows live messenger has stopped woirking..... helpppp
