windows live messenger

not msn. but the windows thing
when i try to login a message pops up saying
unable to sign in .NET
retry cancel help

Are you signed up for a hotmail account?

Windows Live Messenger is the new MSN Messenger, not Windows Messenger.

First the obvious questions.

Are you connected to the internet?
Did you type in your login info correct?
Can you use other IM programs?

Often times MSN/Windows messenger are temporarily down, which may be why you cant sign in.

iam connected to internet, pretty sure i typed my info in, i used 2 emails.
iam using aim and msn perfectly fine.

and yeah i got hotmail accounts

Are you sure your useing Windows messenger and not MSN or windows Live?

If you are running windows XP it should be Start>All Programs>

It's probably a temporary server problem, happens all the time for me with Live Messenger.
