Windows logging in with a temporary profile?

The other day, my brother's computer installed a windows update, which by the time it restarted, the desktop wouldn't even load, it would just stay loading... After that, I restored the computer from the recovery backup system to a previous point.. It managed to load the desktop, but while it was loading, it said: "Preparing the desktop", and after it loaded, a message popped up that Windows had logged in with a temporary profile and that none of the documents/images would appear. Moreover, every time he installs something new, the next time the computer starts, it deletes it. Also, now, when he puts his password for it start and begin loading the desktop, it says in the blue screen starting, and quickly afterwards, the screen goes black, and quickly again the screen turns blue and saying "logging out". What's wrong or how do I fix this?

By the way, I don't know if this is the correct forum, sorry if I got it wrong.
