I am building a computer and wish to have Windows Media Center Edition on it. Do you know of anywhere to get this for cheap? Or would anybody be willing to sell a copy of their install disk? I dont know if that would even work.
 
Mmmm, getting it somewhere cheap...I doubt that. You could possibly get a OEM version, but about the copy of their install disc ...talking about that goes against forum rules unless they have a multi-use cd-key. If you have friends that have a disc...you can give it a try, remembering that its your full responsibilty.
 
They sometimes come up on ebay at low prices, other than that an OEM version would be your only other way.
 
did a quick search and saw it for around 110 roughly for OEM. and ebay, bids now at 69.99. so search around. if u r a colloege student or ur kids(if married) r, check with them if their school has copies for discounted price. however, most of them only offer xp pro and home.
