Windows media 9 playing up

My window media player sometimes plays files in blue yellow and red, sound plays fine though.

I have installed the AVI and DIVX codecs and still no joy?? any clues id prefer to contiue using this player as i quite like it, i havent tried installing the divx player and playing the files in that yet! but i did have it installed on another computer but didnt really like it

any help is appreciated thanks
 
Could you rephrase the question into something more comprehensible to a geek?

What do you mean it sometimes plays files in blue, yellow and red? What type of file?
