Windows Media Player Error message from updating windows?

I installed a crack windows XP pro last year on my friends computer. He updated windows media player and now it will not let him play stuff. I know to get rid of that message when you start up your computer you have to delete some file in the windows folder is there something similar to do to get rid of the error message on windows media player? Thank you

it probably requires windows genuine advantage, and on top of that I think pirated software is a topic not discussed here

you want my advice, format c:\ and install Linux
