Windows Media Player problems...

Hello,
I have files I recorded on my camera, and loaded onto my PC. When I open them with WMP or Divx they play REALLY short. The video is about 8 minutes long but the video displayed is only about 23 seconds. Is there a fix I dont know about, or do I have another problem?

what are the types of those videos?

Maybe you should try to watch the videos using another video player, like VLC:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc
The thing is that it doesn't use system codecs, so it may show video even when other players don't do that.
