sometimes when i close wmp, the file still plays in the background even though i pressed the "x". I can still hear audio and when i open wmp again, the video is still playing...
also, the mini toolbar thing visualization screen doesnt work. When i press the arrow button, nothing pops up. Any clues on how to fix this?

What version of WMP do you have? What OS are you on? And what kind of audio device are you using (onboard, PCI card...what?)

Most of the time WMP messes up because it's jsut crappy lol. If you've got WMP open and something else open at the same time then WMP tends to lag alot, sometimes even stop responding.

You'll want latest updatees for WMP, audio device, and OS, and that should fix any kind of software conflicts. If you are still having problems then your hardware might be the issue. Possibly you've jsut got too much open and your PC is lagging.

A quick tip: Don't just "X" out of WMP. Hit the "Stop" button before you close it out. This will give WMP time to clloe the application it is reading and stop the audio/video feed. Then close it out.

im using wmp version 10, windows xp home edition, and whatever sound device that comes with the Asus A8v-e motherboard
