windows media player

I recently moved into a dorm and they made me install McAfee and this cisco clean access program. After installing the the programs i was unable to play dvd's on my computer. I tried installing the drivers again for the dvd drive and this still did not solve my problem. When the dvd is inserted it says windows media player has stopped working. It does not give me an error code either and says for me to close the program. I also have the media player set to update the codecs everyday and that seems to not help. help ????????????????????

wmp 11 and windows vista 32bit

Well i'm having the same problem, just that it happens for music for me.....

Sorry can't help you.

But i can recommend you VLC (google it) it is a very good and well known program and should work for you.

Hmm.. McAfee shouldn't be causing you problems when trying to play a DVD. If you can, uninstall the Cisco clean access and see if you're able to play your DVD's. At least then you'd know if it has something to do with the software.
