i'm having a problem with "alerts" coming up from my "network" that i don't have. All of them are advertisments...how do i get them off? i'll put on a screen shot once i remember.
 
Windows XP: Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, Administrative Tools, Services, then scroll down to messenger, right click, properties
Dtartup Type: Disabled
Service Status: Stop
