cpuz is showing that i have 4 sticks of ram and when i start up my computer it says im running 6 gigs witch is right but when i check how many gigs i have my in my control panel it says i am only running 3
windows not showing all my ram

Nope, that's a limitation of 32 bit operating systems. You will need to upgrade to 64 bit.
(I actually think it's only 3.25, but who's counting...)

Your 32bit system as a whole will use up to 4GB of RAM, but some of that is reserved for the operating system, so it's not available to your applications and programs.

The maximum memory available in 32-bit versions of Windows Vista is typically 3.12 GB, however you can read "workaround" in this LINK (regarding Vista SP1 and hardware) to view how to see all 4Gigs
The 3.2gig limit you are thinking about, is in relation to XP (even though 2 gig is all XP can use anyway, the boot.ini can be adjusted to show more
If you want to access more than 4Gig of Ram in Vista, you must purchase Vista (or presently, ideally Windows 7) 64 Bit
Well it can be anywhere from 3GB on up, depending on how many hardware memory addresses gets eat up.
32bit XP has a 4GB physical address space just like Vista. So no difference there.

Go buy a 64bit version of windows
64 bit windows 7. There is really no reason to buy 32 bit windows anymore...
