cpuz is showing that i have 4 sticks of ram and when i start up my computer it says im running 6 gigs witch is right but when i check how many gigs i have my in my control panel it says i am only running 3
You must be running a 32 bit system which will not show more than 3.5 gigs
will it use more than 3.5 gigs thoe?
The maximum memory available in 32-bit versions of Windows Vista is typically 3.12 GB, however you can read "workaround" in this LINK (regarding Vista SP1 and hardware) to view how to see all 4Gigs(I actually think it's only 3.25, but who's counting...)
The 3.2gig limit you are thinking about, is in relation to XP (even though 2 gig is all XP can use anyway, the boot.ini can be adjusted to show more
Go buy a 64bit version of windows![]()
