Hello all! I have not been on CF in a while. I have a question... My friend is telling me that when his computer boots up, no icons come up 50% of the time. When the icons do not show up, he recieves an error message saying that explorer.exe had an error. He has Windows 2000 Professional and it is a 7 year old computer, but he does update Windows when he can. Any one have any suggestions on how to fix the problem?
 
My sister had this problem, also turned out she had 10 trojan horses rampaging around her PC!

Once I did a virus scan and got rid of the TH's, the PC was fine.

All the Icons turned up again.
