Windows turn white and freeze

I have windows Vista Home and a lot of the time when on a website my window turns a faded white (Can still see the page) and it freezes up. I have to do a Clt +Alt+ Del to shut the window down. I have no viruses that I have been able to detect. Any ideas?

So this only happens when browsing the internet? What browser are you using? Have you tried another one?

Yes Only when on the internet. IE7 did the same when I had IE 8

or what you could do is run a quick registry check. there are hundreds of registry fixers available on the market. i personally vouch for registry booster because it checks through all your registry files.

An another thing you could do is double check if your video card drivers are functioning in the expected way. if they arent then you need to reinstall the video card drivers.

also do a virus scan on the whole machine and a system clean up.

if all the above measures fail

system restore to an earlier checkpoint. you wont loose your documents but you might loose all the programs installed after the checkpoint.
