Windows Update Redirect

I just reinstalled XP Media Center on an older Toshiba Satellite. First thing I did was install SP3 and all necessary drivers. Now I'm trying to run Windows Update. The page doesn't load, but instead redirects me to KB article 2497281. Even if I type in manually update.microsoft.com I still get redirected.

Any ideas? I've never had this happen before.

I had the same thing the other day when reinstalling xp on a system. I ended up going to Microsoft update instead of Windows update and when it downloaded the first series of updates it then allowed me to access Windows update. So try that first. I would give the link but on my phone at the moment.

Worked this time :good: Thanks John. Could have sworn I tried that earlier and it did the same thing.
