Windows updates causing bsod?

Well i updated my vista yesterday and restarted it today when i got back from work and now all i get is bsod and it goes so fast i cannot see why it does it. I have tried to repair it using the vista cd and it keeps telling me it cannot repair itsself and there are of coarse no restore points even though it supposedly makes them when doing updates... Any suggestions on how i can get back in without having to redo my os?

No all it does is bsod on all of them i took a picture of it i will upload it later tongiht but there is no reason i didnt make any changes i unhooked all of my external hdd's and my extra monitor yet it still does this every time.

just a little update i'm dual booting xp and vista on this drive and the xp partition loads just fine. There are no hardware issues becuase i removed everything but what we had to have to run the pc adn still no luck. I can access the vista partition from xp so i wont lose any files but i would hate to have to spend the hours redoign all of this if i can simply fix the vista partition. Its very strange to me that the vista partition wont even load into safe mode but xp loads fine..

it works fine with the xp partition which is on the same disc thats what baffels me and it worked fine until they updated and i clicked on restart.

It is supposed to create restore points but the cd repair on vista said there were no restore points created and it successfully installed the updates and i told it ok to restart and when it did it started the bsod.
