Windows updates

Windows has come up with its list of monthly updates but i am having trouble downloading 2 out of 3 updates.

Net framework 2

C:windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspne t_wp.exe

Net framework 3

c:windows\microsoft.net\framework\v3.0\windows communication foundation\SMSvchost.exe

I am running xp with Sp 3. I have run ccleaner and malwares is currently running.

Any ideas on why these updates wont accept as my system is now showing as insecure due to being unable to process these updates.

Unless you have software that requires net framework, it isn't really needed and doesn't provide any security to your system.

Here's my answer...

I've been running XP Pro SP3 without a single update for at least 4 years with no problems.

If they won't install don't try.

There is a function in windows updates that allows you to hide that update and this will stop it from attempting to install it again. Use this and you should be ok.
