My laptop runs an original Windows XP Pro which I bought 2 days ago, say I have to format my hard drive for whatever reason in the future and have to reinstall Windows and the balloon thing that tells you to validate Windows within 30 days pops up again
-I've already validated my XP yesterday, Will I be able to validate it again with the same key in case I have to reinstall Windows in the future? (same computer)
-I read somewhere that after a copy of Windows is validated, a file is created in a specific location (or was it in the registry?) that tells the computer that Windows is already validated therefore the 30 days limit thing stops popping up, Is this true? Would copying the file to a CD or USB memory and paste it in the same location after Windows is reinstalled work? (all of this in the same computer too)
