Windows Vista Installation Freeze

I'm trying to install a final version of vista I got ans when I tried to upgrade the installer froze on completing upgrade. so then I tried a fresh install on a partition and now it froze on completing installation. does anyone kno what's wrong ot had this happen?

Are you sure it's frozen?

When I tried RC1 last year it sat for a good 10 mins appearing to do nothing and then continued and finished the installation.

i havent tried it again. but when i did i let it sit for atleast a half hour and in did nothing.
