Today i just started up my computer and after i enter my password it takes about 1 min to open and explorer.exe does not start up. I just get the blank screen. I have to manually start it with task manager. I scanned for viruses and ran windows repair but nothing fixed it. Any suggestions?

It's a new OS! We are all having some fun with it at the moment for one reason or another. You can reinstall Windows if needed. It most likely is due to a bad install of some drivers seeing Windows hang on startup. If you can reach the desktop you can still use the msconfig utility to disable a number of things in order to see where the problem is.

The other tool that has been in Windows since 98 is the system file checker tool. With installation disk in the drive type in "sfc /scannow" at the Run prompt off of the Start menu. Click the ok button or press the enter key to start the utility. This will often repair or replace anything system files found damaged or missing.
