Windows vista problem...

about 2 months ago i got a brand new dell with an amd dual core processor 2.80ghz, and 4 gigs of ram, and now whenever i try to stream video online, the video slows down to like 1fps. and there is no audio! and another thing is it normal for my cpu to be above 50% usage all the time? the only reason i ask is because i have a little widget thing from vista that shows this

Welcome to windows vista. Its a rescource hog and its normal for it to constantly be doing something on your computer. Especially if you have the sidebar and widgets running...

What player/plugin do you use for streaming video? With Vista 50% is normal I'm afraid.

no plugin will work not wmp quiktime or any java or fash, they all are screwed up

Did you try reinstalling them?

yea tried a re install.. im thinking it might be something with my sound/video card but idk
