Windows Vista RC2 offline

Not too, too long ago I downloaded windows vista RC1 when I went to look around I noticed that a new build was out. I went to download it and it did not show up on microsoft's site. Can someone tell me if the download is still available or not? I heard there was supposed to be speed improvements on RC2 and I want to try it out cause RC1 licked balls just like the rest, but not as much balls Oh and one more thing an uncle would say. Would it be legal for me to download it from another torrent site?

The beta program has already ended and one alternate site simply brings you right to the page with the Microsoft information about it having ended. You won't find any MS links at other sites that can due to this. The one thing to remember about any type of beta is that it is not a finished version. It is simply a stripped down copy for evaluation and recommendations to developers.

Thank you PC Eye. That kinda sucks that the beta program has ended cause I wanted to see the last beta build. So would it be legal for me to download it off of another site like ISOHUNT.COM. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention that I can still download RC1 off the windows site I did it today.

I would suspicious right away if some site had it available for download there. It's Microsoft's product simply offered for review under certain conditions. While some sites haven't removed now useless links for something no longer available any with it would be in conflict with MS in other words pirated material. With a valid product number those now running it will see it expire in July of 2007.

A finished and full version would have all of the needed drivers available by the time it comes out. Why bother with something that only has a few beta drivers for it? Many of us will be waiting until Vista SP1 comes out somewhere down the line for any bugs found with it to be fixed then.

rc2 wasnt supposed to be a wide distributed build. it was only for industry types. they passed out a link for who needed it and after a week or 2 took the page down.

Oh O.K. I thought I read something about Microsoft giving the beta out to a limited number of people. Also I like you sig it's so true you mind if you post it on my sig. I mean I already have, but if you want that sig to be yours and only yours I'll take it off.

That's for sure. Before I could get the download I saved here burned to disk I ended up repartitioning the second drive. When I went back to get another copy.... gone! But I'm not going to worry about getting a beta version at this point since the second drive is being used for another dual OS setup and a large storage partition.
