windows vista to windows 7

In a few days i'll be converting my vista to windows 7. I'm just wondering where could i get the all of the drivers for windows 7 'cause i have none. my laptop is a compaq presario v3000.
 
Go to HP.com to search for drivers for that laptop. If there are no specific drivers for Windows 7 available for that machine, you should be fine with the Vista versions.
 
Yeah +1 with zatharus, just make sure you get your network drivers. My windows 7 automatically downloads the drivers, but make sure you download the windows 7 ethernet driver first, thats most important

you mean to say vista/xp drivers will work for w7?

yeah, already went through there but there where no w7 drivers for this model.:(
 
i prolly go for the vista drivers. i can't really find the complete drivers for this model or so to say i found none. boohoo! if anyone can shed me a link for the complete driver downloads for this model then it would really be a great help.

i was thinking downloading the drivers first before renewing the OS

Huh? Yes, the Vista drivers should work for Windows 7. If you find that they do not, then download the XP drivers here instead.

another thing. i can't remember if this printer came with a cd.. and i think i lost the cd or it had none. is there any way i can get the same exact thing on what the cd has through the net? and i can't seem to find what kind of printer this is i just know this is a HP printer.
 
i have been to that link too.:D but i can't seem to find the model #. how many characters does it consist?
 
Should be right on the front of your printer.

Is it a big printer? Or a little printer? Is it an all-in-one, or just a printer? Right on the front, it will probably have a little number. Mine is F2210.
 
all i got at the front is HP nothing else. but at the bottom i found the serial # and tried searching it in the web but to no avail. and this one -> CB607A. the problem is i can't determine if it's a zero or a capital O.
 
UPDATE!
format to w7 failed on this laptop.. i just used the recover to factory setting option of this laptop.. so everything went poof and back to factory setting.. thanks for the help.
