Okk so last night i installed a new update for windows xp cant recall what is call and a new updated for my iphone.
This morning i turned on my Compaq presario and windows would not go anywhere after the logo came up... i see the regular bar move but after that nothing...
i have tried to fix it by selecting last known configuration, system restore and finally safe mode i was able to go into safe mode but i kept trying new things from there such as System restore wizard and changing some setting i cant recall but i have found online... and probably didnt help much because after that i can not longer go into safe mode... instead different lines such as multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0) partition(2)\Windows\system32\Drivers... comes up different file .sys each one. i dont have the CD so i wont be able to use recovery console does any one know what else i could do to fix this or should i get a windows xp cd see if that works
