Windows won't start

Cannot get windows to start. It just keeps re-booting. I have tried 15 or 20 times.....same result. I did get to finally dis-able auto restart. Got this on stop:0X00000024,0X83556178,0XC0000102,0X00000000. Anyone know what this is, and what to do to repair? I can't get to windows to run chkdisk, if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. OS is XP home edition.

Have you tried running "repair installation" off the original XP install disk? Also, have you recently installed any new hardware into your computer?

well, if you are very computer literate (can open the computer and immediately recognize the parts and their uses) then you can remove the hard drive, make it into a slave drive, stick it in another computer, and run CHKDSK on it.
