Windows XP 64bit questions

I have had a Windows XP 64bit cd for awhile now and I have never used it because I didn't know if all the software was compatible with it. Are there any software compatibilities with it? How much faster is it compared to regular XP? I know you have to have a 64bit processor and I do so that is not a problem. I would like to know is it worth installing?

There are a few compatibility issues with older software, and especially drivers from manufacturers that aren't as well known. Companies such as ATI, nVidia, Asus, etc will have drivers available.

Performance wise, you won't notice ANY difference, for the most part it will be exactly the same as XP Pro 32 bit. The only real advantage to it now is that you can utilize 4GB+ of RAM, if you want to stick with XP instead of Vista.
